Setting the Tone

This is written to set the tone for this site. I believe in the fundamentals of the Christian faith: this includes the belief that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Therefore, I believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of Scriptures. I also believe that there exists a God of objective morals and truth – the God of the Bible – and, so, I believe in absolutes. I believe subjective morality and post-modern relativism are untenable positions because of their internal inconsistencies. Can a post-modern relativist, who vilifies moral objectivity, make the statement, “Morals are relative, so we must not judge” and expect the rest of us to accept his own statement as non-judgmental and absolute? No. Ergo, moral (and factual) relativism is a self-defeating world view.

The following illustrates the process of indoctrination by the above logical fallacy:

Annikin: Either you are with me or you are against me.
Obi Wan Kenobi: Only Siths deal in absolutes.

Does this mean that you have been serving the emperor in secret, Benny ol' boy?

I also believe that all other world views are tenuous and susceptible to unravelling and disintegrating. They include pantheism, atheism, agnosticism, wiccanism, naturalism, New Ageism and solipsism. It is the Biblical world view that establishes my outlook and opinion on all the important issues confronting the world today. It is the Bible that is the main source of my views and the prooftext against which the veracity of other literature and references is established.
