How Many Gods are there? One or Many?

cf. Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10; 44:6, 8 and Genesis 1:26; 3:22; 11:7; 1 Cor. 8:5; I John 5:8

One God
"Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!" (Deuteronomy 6:4)
". . . Before Me [YHWH] there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me" (Isaiah 43:10).
". . . there is no God besides Me" (Isaiah 44:6).
". . . And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none" (Isaiah 44:8).

Many gods
"Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . . '"(Genesis 1:26).
"And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil . . ." (Genesis 3:22).
"Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other" (Genesis 11:7).
"For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth [as indeed there are many 'gods' and many 'lords']" (1 Corinthians 8:5).
"For there are three that bear witness, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement" (1 John 5:8).

The Bible tells us that there is only one God in all existence (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6, 8). However, it also mentions "other gods." For example there is Adrammelech and Anammelech (2 Kings 17:31), Asherah (1 Kings 18:19), Baal (Judges 3:7), Chemosh (Num. 21:29), Dagon (1 Sam. 5:2), Molech (Lev. 18:21; 20:2-5), etc.

The Bible is not contradicting itself. When the Bible speaks of other gods, it is speaking of false gods that have no true existence.

Gal. 4:8 says,
"Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods."
See also, Isaiah 37:19 and Jeremiah 2:11.

God tells us that he alone is the true God, and that all of the invented gods of man do not exist except in their own minds. So, we can see that the Bible is not contradicting itself regarding how many gods there are in existence. There is only one.

Note: in the verses in Genesis that have God saying "Let us make . . . , Let us go down . . . , etc.", are clues to the Trinitarian nature of God. God is a Trinity of persons: a Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There are not three Gods--but one. There are those who insist that the Trinity is polytheistic. But it is not. Trinitarians believe in a single being who is God.

Can Death be Abolished?

There is no doubt that life expectancy is higher than a century ago. There are now 14,000 centenarians in Britain, and according to the Office of National Statistics, one in three of today’s babies will live to see their 100th birthday. Some scientists and medical experts are even claiming that ageing could be delayed indefinitely.

British doctor Dr Aubrey de Grey believes people who have already been born could live for ten centuries because of ongoing research being done into “repairing the effects of ageing”. He hopes ultimately to create treatments that mean death could be postponed by constantly repairing our bodies, so that we can live as long as 1,000 years or possibly even forever. Dr de Grey founded the aptly-named Methuselah Foundation. Its website states that, “By advancing tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, we want to create a world where 90-year olds can be as healthy as 50-year olds—by 2030.” Helping people to live a long, healthy life is a laudable aim, but for Christians, the idea of living forever in our fallen world is not very attractive—we look forward instead to the perfections of a new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21:1–5). Plus, it doesn’t solve all forms of death—anti-ageing treatments could forestall (not cure) some types of death but could never prevent death by such things as explosion or plane crash.

Although death is a physical thing, the reason for death is spiritual, as the Bible makes clear.

Those who are attempting to conquer death are 2,000 years behind! As Paul again wrote, “our Saviour Christ Jesus [has] abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (2 Timothy 1:10). This includes new resurrection bodies for all believers in the future (1 Corinthians 15:42–44; Philippians 3:20–21)—how much better than the vain hope of ‘conquering’ death by science (e.g cryonics)!

What is Heresy?

Heresy is often defined as any departure from Christian orthodoxy, from a misuse of scripture taken from the context that changes its meaning and application. It is a teaching, doctrine or practice that goes beyond the apostles’ teachings, (what is written) or introduces something totally new or contrary to the Scripture.

It is also a term that people refuse to use today to identify false teaching and teachers.

Biblical heresy is often a denial of one or more of the core beliefs held by the Church that are found in the Bible. Such as the Triunity of God, the deity of Christ or salvation by grace alone through faith in Christ alone. There is also heresy that is not biblically based, introducing other religious spiritual teachings to add to what the Scripture says.

We have all heard the statement “eat the meat and spit out the bones,” but only the mature believer can discern good from evil. What parent would feed a little child a fish with bones and expect it to know what to do. This is not a good answer for the newborn, weak or immature in faith. Young lambs, like a young child, do not understand the differences, and will be destroyed if not protected. This is why we are to identify certain people who are expounding these heresies, we prevent the lambs from immediate harm.

If we are to keep unity we are to contend for “the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).

Has the Great Falling Away from the Faith Begun? – Part 1

There have always been passionate preachers who warned of the approaching apocalypse and denounced the corruption of society. What is different today?

The Bible speaks repeatedly of “falling away.” Sometimes the word “apostasy” is used, meaning rebellion or turning away from something that you had believed in.

In the Old Testament, terms such as “backsliding” appear (Jer 2:19; 5:6; 8:5; 14:7; Hos 11:7). When it came to apostasy in Israel, it was a turning away from the Word of God, from His will, and from His presence. This has always been associated with idolatry, immorality, social injustice, egoism, and sooner or later the judgment of God. Among other things, Daniel uses this word for the time of the Antichrist:
“With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant (apostatized), but the people who know their God will firmly resist him” (Dan. 11:32 [NIV]).

In the New Testament, we find various passages that speak of apostasy from divine truths.

The first to speak of apostasy in the end times was the Lord Jesus Himself. He prophesied that in a coming time of tribulation this would be seen in a particular way,
“At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people” (Matt 24:10-11).

The same word is used in the parable of the sower and the four soils. From the seed that falls in stony places, it says:
“But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away” (Matt 13:21).

Although the Word of God has had some effect on them, they fall away as soon as there are problems.

The Lord Jesus called deception one of the most important end-time signs before His coming in glory. It is the only sign that is repeated three times in Matthew 24 (verses 4-5, 11, 23-26). And, although the culmination of the seduction will come in the last great tribulation period, we already see the harbingers of it.

Liberal Churches: Compromised & Infiltrated

As liberal churches began to permit same-sex relationships, take steps towards the ordination of gay clergy, and make approving noises concerning gay marriage, gay activists were able to send a loud message to a culture that was awaiting the Christian response.

They could effectively push to the fringe orthodox Christian denominations who held to 2,000 years of Christian teaching on sexuality, while declaring that the liberal denominations, (those who endorsed love in all its forms) were the true representatives of Christianity in the West.

That is why orthodox Christians who despise homophobia have found themselves consistently lumped in with the hatemongering Westboro Baptists--because the gay liberation movement has, through the careful cultivation of alliances with post-Christian churches, redefined for many in the culture at large what it means to be a Christian.

Adhering to orthodoxy is no longer important, they say. Not judging the actions of your neighbors, however, is paramount: Judge not, except when you are judging those you find judgmental.

Demon Possession: Plain and Simple

Demon possession is something we read a lot about in the Gospels, hear about from the mission field, but have very little experience with in the Western world. In this episode of Ask the Theologian, Dr. Randy White uses Luke 8 and the story of the Gerasene Demoniac to discuss demon possession and, perhaps even more importantly, demon position. You will learn how to recognize demon possession, and you will find great comfort in knowing the real demon position.

This teaching seeks to avoid sensationalism and “making stuff up.” Rather, it looks into the real experiences of the Scripture and uses these records as sufficient to equip the believer to understand demon possession and position.

Spiritual Deception of the Progressives

There was a time when ideas like yoga or eastern meditation in the church were only associated with Christ Science churches, Universalist Churches, and a few spurious non-biblical fringe places. In a few scant decades, the walls have been so completely torn down that we not only see no harm in these things, we promote them. This is exactly what Theosophist (Luciferian) leader Alice Bailey predicted would be part of the new age infiltration into the church.

So, in fact, this has been underway for some time. It probably began to get a real foothold in our present time with Norman Vincent Peale’s “Power of Positive Thinking” theology, quickly adapted by Rev. Robert Schuller who was really the first modern “megachurch” and “Seeker Friendly” church pastor. Their ideas were once considered a bit of an aberration from mainstream Christian doctrine. But here we are decades later, and seeker friendly and power of positive thinking is normal and unchallenged. The crack into Bible-based evangelical churches had begun to open just a little.

God help us to turn away from the slow poisoning of the church through breath-prayers, eastern meditation, mindfulness, yoga, etc. God help us to surrender our soulish ways of perceiving God based on a book that was written by a wounded man, William Paul Young – unhealed from abuse and bitter church hurts – whom those seeking to make a profit have promoted regardless of his spiritual fragility and woundedness – who rejected the God of the Bible for a god who would somehow ease his pain – one that eases your pain as it kills your soul. The Shack is the spiritual Jack Kavorkian of our age.

Pray for William Paul Young, that God would pull him out of this most dangerous and deadly strange fire.

Pray for the multitudes who are believing lies. And may God deal with those mercenaries and moneychangers who care more about what sells and profits them then about the care and protection of the flock of God.

Alice Bailey’s plans are about to come to full fruition. The greatest lie is just around the corner.

Four Progressive Steps into Apostasy

Throughout the 2000 year history of the Church, we have seen a continual departure of people and churches from the faith of the apostles. As incredibly tragic as this has been, it should not surprise us because Paul warned: “The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (1 Tim. 4:1). Shortly after our Lord began building His Church, the apostle John records one of the first occurrences of apostasy. “They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be shown that they all are not of us” (1 John 2:19). Since then, many other professing Christians, churches, denominations, and seminaries, who once upheld the truth and authority of God’s Word, have drifted into apostasy. One of the interesting characteristics of apostasy is that it does not happen overnight. It actually develops over a period of time through a process that can be categorized into four steps.
First Step into Apostasy

God’s word is neglected as the supreme authority for faith and practice.

Second Step into Apostasy

Scripture is twisted and distorted for self-serving agendas.

Third Step into Apostasy

Entertainment, idolatry, liturgy and rituals have replaced the Lord Jesus from the central focus of worship.

Fourth Step into Apostasy

Teaching is heavily influenced by doctrines of demons. Jesus has been removed from the church.

LGBT Affirming Churches Add Glitter to Ash Wednesday

Last month it was the Anglicans who chose to "queer the liturgy" of evening prayer in honor LGBT history month by renaming the Holy Spirit "The Fantabulosa Fairy" and God the Father became "the Dutchess".

Not to be outdone, Catholic LGBT supporters and numerous left leaning protestant churches throughout the United States and Canada intend to show their support by wearing "glitter ash" on their foreheads to mark Ash Wednesday.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, a period that extends until Easter Sunday where Catholics and some Protestants ceremoniously place plain gray ashes on their foreheads, often in the formation of a cross, to spread a message of repentance and change which often involve fasting, moderation and self-denial.

A New York-based advocacy group called Parity however, is asking Christians who favor LGBT equality -- "queer positive Christians," as they call them -- to show support by wearing "glitter ash" on their foreheads.

Vatican Astronomers Ramp up Their Search for “Brother Extraterrestrial”

Vatican astronomers have reportedly been working towards locating extraterrestrial life. Earlier in March, the Vatican Observatory cosponsored a major conference on extraterrestrial life that brought together 200 of the leading astrobiologists in the world.

One of the organizers stated that one of the goals of the conference was to figure out “how we can find life among the stars within the next two decades.” Some high profile Vatican astronomers seem quite confident that “something” is out there.

The question that comes to mind is why this level of interest from the Vatican: Is there something they know that the general public isn’t aware of? Why are they taking a lead role in areas that are not within the traditional Catholic scope or domain?

JosĂ© Gabriel Funes, an Argentine Jesuit priest and astronomer, and the current director of the Vatican Observatory says there is no conflict between believing in God and in the possibility of extraterrestrial civilizations perhaps more evolved than humans: “Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contrast with our faith because we can’t put limits on God’s creative freedom.

"Why can’t we speak of a ‘brother extraterrestrial’? It would still be part of creation… There could be other beings 'who remained in full friendship with their creator.'” Another prominent Vatican astronomer, Guy Consolmagno, has publicly suggested that aliens could actually be the 'saviors of humankind.'

The Coming Literal, Visible and Physical Thousand Year Reign of Jesus Christ on this Earth from Jerusalem

By Geoffrey Grider
“And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, 'Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD'” (Isaiah 2:2-5 [KJV]).

All through the Old Testament, the prophets speak of the Day when Jesus Christ will sit on the throne of David, and rule the world in righteousness. It is called the Day of the Lord, a time period which starts with the Rapture of the Church, then into the time of Jacob’s trouble, Jesus returns at the Battle of Armageddon, and a one thousand year reign of Jesus Christ will commence on this Earth. For all you Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons, Preterists, and every other sect that spiritualizes actual, literal and physical events in Bible prophecy, this will be quite an eye-opener for you.

'Hillsong' Pastor Carl Lentz won’t Say Abortion is a Sin on 'The View'

Almost an exact year ago, Carl Lentz was on Ophra’s Super Soul Sunday where he was asked by Oprah, “Do you believe that only Christians can be in relationship with God?”. Carl’s responses was:
“No, I believe that when Jesus said that “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” the way I read that, Jesus said that he is the road marker, he is the map, so I think that God loves people so much, that whether they accept or reject him, he’s still gracious, and he’s still moving, and he’s still giving you massive red blinking lights, for chances to take a right turn when maybe you’d take a left, but I believe God loves people, and that’s what this whole gospel is based on, it’s love….”

To say “no” is to deny the heart of the Gospel, which is that Jesus alone is the sacrifice for human sin and the only way to be restored to the Father. Jesus says that nobody comes to the Father except through him, because Jesus gave his life to pay the penalty for the sins you and I committed. If we reject Jesus, we are still in our sins and alienated from God. This is the harsh reality of our condition and the glory of the work of Jesus.

Carl went on to correct himself, saying that he meant that that anyone can potentially be in a relationship with God if they believe on the Lord, not only those who currently identify as being Christian. In my opinion, that clarification doesn’t fit Oprah’s question. The answer to her question is still yes, only Christians can be in relationship. All those who can potentially have a relationship with God must first become Christians who are saved by faith.

What is the harm in being clear about what the Bible teaches? Christian’s want the truth, and the unsaved need the truth.

In this article we are going to look at an interview Carl Lentz did recently on The View where he would not come out and say that abortion is a sin. And yes, it is Biblical to address public figures in the Christianity community by name when they fail (dramatically) to uphold the word of God and their position of authority as Paul called out people by name in 2 Timothy.

Transgenderism and Our Children

The Bible says, “God is not the author of confusion” (1 Corinthians 14:33). Therefore, anything that promotes it is in opposition to God and His ways. If you want to see some serious confusion in action, then look at a photo of a bearded man wearing a dress and high heels.

In the Bible, God makes clear distinctions between light and darkness, good and evil, male and female, adults and children, animals and humans, plants and animals, living and inanimate. These distinctions or separations are clearly important to God, and anything that attempts to destroy these distinctions is trying to undermine foundational principles that God established. Such efforts constitute rebellion against God, and the end result is attacks against Christians who try to live according to biblical principles and morality. This is part of what Dr. Henry Morris calls, “the long war against God.”

The transgender movement is a prime example of this conflict because the stated goal of transgender activists is to “burn the binary.” By that, they mean making people become incapable of thinking in terms of male and female. In an article titled, “We’ll Win the Bathroom Battle When the Binary Burns”, written by Riki Wilchins (an activist who has gone through sex change surgery), he describes this as being the “dominant, hetero-binary structure of boy vs. girl.”

This kind of thinking can make your head spin, but you did read that correctly. There are some people out there who literally want to get our society to the point where we become incapable of thinking in terms of male versus female. They don’t want us to be able to tell the difference between boys and girls (and definitely not to say it publicly), and they want to train children to think like that at early ages. They also want to punish Christian parents who try to protect their children from this. In reality, the transgender movement has made Christianity and what it stands for its sworn enemy..

As we will see below, transgenderism is the beginning of a kind of denial of reality that expands to include race, age, and species (human versus animal). Eventually, it winds up with people who claim to be things that don’t even exist. Once upon a time, people who seriously denied reality like this were said to be delusional or mentally ill. But now, some people are trying to normalize such delusions and make them become politically correct.

When people deny reality, the loving thing to do is to help them deal with it in realistic ways—not go along with their delusions. Having us agree with their delusions may make them feel better for the moment, but the long-term results can be catastrophic. Truth trumps feelings.

Christ will Return

The old saying goes, that the eyes are of no use, if the mind is blind. So it is come to this then, that we who live in the most transformative, prophetically active time since the days of Christ, see so little interest in what the Bible has to say about what will come to pass in these last days. Tragically, the disinterest comes as equally from those who profess Christ, as from those who don't. The study today is over why this is.

The section of Bible Prophecy which speaks to the events of the last days, Eschatology, is not some fringe hobby that people dabble in with as the same seriousness as those who follow UFOs or Big Foot. Eschatology is a major doctrinal study that consumes around 30% of your Bible. John F. Walvoord, the late President of the Dallas Theological Seminary, dubbed it the 'capstone of Christian doctrine', because your eschatological view determines how you hold to every other major doctrine, such as Soteriology, Ecclesiology, etc.) If you think about it for a second, your entire Bible, either centers around Christ's first coming, or to His second. It only makes sense that in a book in which God is revealing Himself to mankind progressively, (i.e. not all at once), is a book that hinges around His own Incarnation and His return for His people.

Yet today more than ever, so-called Evangelicals are increasingly becoming dismissive of Bible Prophecy because they believe it is a fool's errand, that Christ may never return, or that it impedes their ability to enact cultural change through the social gospel. This is promulgated in the Reformed Theology groups as well as thru the Prosperity Gospel and Emergent Church movements. It's like it has become popular again in Christendom, to no longer care if or when Christ will return, as if it is some distraction we needn't concern ourselves with.

Satan and all of his demonic hosts then, HATE Bible Prophecy, because it foretells their sure doom. We know the things Satan hates most, because these are the things he has spent most of his time and energy, trying to destroy. Likewise, if the world is under the temporary control of Satan, it makes sense then that these are the same things the world hates. Satan has invested millennia in distorting, perverting, discrediting, dismissing, and silencing true, orthodox, and Scriptural Bible Prophecy.

Mystic Revolution

How will the One World Religion come about, or is it here already? Ray Yungen discusses the advent of The Mystic Revolution. Mysticism is a bridge for all religions to coexist. Ray discusses how the mystical explosion is setting the stage for the One World Religion.

What began in the West in the early 50's & 60's has grown up into a major force to be reckoned with. Eastern Mystical practices have been repackaged and given shiny new Christian labels.

Issues discussed here are history of the Mystical Revolution, Spiritual Formation, Contemplative Prayer, Reiki, Mantras, Chakras, Energy Healing and some of the major personalities.

'Another Jesus Calling' Practicing the Presence

Lighthouse Trails has recently contracted with author Warren B. Smith for his new book, Another Jesus Calling, a biblical analysis and critique of Sarah Young’s book, Jesus Calling. Because millions of readers (most of them proclaiming Christians) are turning to Jesus Calling for messages and inspiration they believe are from Jesus Himself, a careful and responsible examination of Sarah Young’s book is prudent and necessary.

With a fast-growing number of Christians turning to contemplative mystical practices to “experience” God, the editors at Lighthouse Trails feel an urgency to present Warren B. Smith’s latest work to the body of Christ; and in doing so, we ask this question, is Sarah Young’s “Jesus” the Jesus of the Bible, or is it a false Christ, of which the Bible warns many shall come in the last days? (Luke 21:8).

Christian Leaders – a New Openness

It is not just a fluke or an aberration that the evangelical churches and the Catholic Church are coming into alignment with each other. The Catholic Church is taking a softer approach to the evangelical church, and the evangelical church is starting to downplay the traditional and significant differences that have kept it at bay with the Roman Catholic Church. While church history has witnessed martyrs who would not bend on doctrinal issues concerning salvation, today, we are witnessing a paradigm shift from an emphasis on biblical doctrine to the experiential and the mystical. The consensus is becoming that it’s not so important what we believe anymore but what we do—namely that we need to experience God and get along with everyone. And this is where the Catholic Church comes in as it promotes oneness (a unifying of all religious traditions under the umbrella of the Catholic Church) and a vast array of religious practices stemming back to the Church fathers to satisfy the draw to the experiential.

The following examples illustrate how this changing landscape is occurring—
  • Rick Warren and EWTN…
  • Beth Moore…
  • Kenneth Copeland…
  • Alpha Course/Nicky Gumbel…
  • Wheaton College…
  • Franklin Graham…
  • Lifeway Survey (Southern Baptist)…

I haven’t named all these people or organizations in this chapter with the intent of lambasting them. My motive has been to show with this small sampling how the evangelical church is helping to bring about an ecumenical Catholic-bound landscape.

The Catholic-friendly individuals I’ve just quoted would certainly acknowledge there are differences between the evangelical and the Catholic faith. But they would relegate these distinctives as minor issues, and focusing on them in any negative way would be seen as theologically acerbic and divisive. The response most often given by evangelical pastors, church leaders, and those in authority is that criticism is judgmentalism—a vice rather than a virtue—and that those who bring up these objections, seen as minor issues, lead people away from what’s important.

However, our focus here is to show there are profound differences that affect salvation, that are not just unscriptural but anti-scriptural and anti-Gospel.

Jesus Affirmed the Old Testament, but does Your Bible Teacher?

My Old Testament (OT) Bible teacher was a dignified cosmopolitan man with a mixed British accent (I don’t hold that against him). He stood out a bit from his peers, because of his European culture and verbal lilt. Everyone else was typically midwest or southern in culture, with rich southern accents that drip like molasses. But my OT teacher stood out from his peers in another way.

Despite the fact that this liberal arts university was a conservative Christian school, and despite that fact that it was fixed like a buckle on the Bible belt of America, this teacher taught something surprising for his field. He taught that Jesus wasn’t God.

He taught us the Documentary Hypothesis. Also known as “JEDP theory” or the “Graf-Wellhausen Hypothesis” this theory, simply put, says that Moses didn’t write the first five books of the Bible as Jewish and Church tradition have customarily accepted. But, instead, those books are composites derived from the collective effort of four different schools of writing/editing.

Simply put, the problem is that:

If Moses didn’t write the books that Jesus said he did, then Jesus is a liar. If Jesus is a liar, then Jesus isn’t God.

Ideas have consequences, and the idea that the first five books were misattributed all the way up to and including Jesus, that idea has some faith-shaking consequences. Fortunately, there are plenty of great reasons to believe Jesus on this one and doubt the JEDP theory.

The Tin-Foil Hat Brigade

You know who you are. You’re the person other people tip toe around when it comes to discussing current events or religion. You are the person who can spend hours devouring scripture or news with equal vigor, pointing out ‘last days’ events to anyone who would listen to you. You are semi-shunned at church. You are disinvited from church socials, because you are just too intense and narrow-minded. You’re called a ‘conspiracy theorist’ or a ‘Jesus Freak’ behind your back. You’re always going on about the Lord’s return and that “Rapture thingy”. Admit it. You are one of them, one of those “prophecy nuts”.

Isn’t it ironic how that we live in the most prophetically active times since the days of Christ, and yet the world has somehow reached the pinnacle of its skepticism and cynicism? Now, I’m not even talking about the unbelieving, Christ rejecting world. They have always been skeptical and mocking of our faith. But it would seem that the trend these days within the majority of professing Christendom, is to join in on the mocking of those who believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture and literal understanding of future events as laid out in the Bible.

For the last 150 years, Christianity has spent a significant amount of time and energy trying to defend itself against secular science and academia. But by spending so much time and energy trying to quantify and validate our belief, we have in large part, neglected the supernatural aspect of our faith; primarily that we worship a God who exists outside of time and space. Even though our faith isn’t indefensible by any stretch of the imagination, we still believe in things that can’t be tested in a laboratory.

Yet, why do so many professing Christians find it ridiculous and hard to believe, that the Church age will also come to an end?

Instead, when we bring the idea up that Christ will soon return for His Church and we are relegated to the ‘tin-foil hat’ group who go around promoting conspiracies? Is Christ’s return for His Bride a conspiracy?

You bet.

But it is a biblically based one, and Satan hates it. In fact, he has invested almost two thousand years trying to debunk it…yet, it will not go away.

Beyond Laodicea: Pastor of the Vine at Grace Cathedral Church Holds Blasphemous 'Beyoncé Mass' and Calls Mary Magdalene a 'Nasty Woman'

By Geoffrey Grider
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3,4 [KJV]).

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Episcopal denomination is an offshoot of the Catholic church, and certainly not Christian in any doctrinal sense of the word biblically. But since they are ‘professing” Christians, we are taking a look at the blasphemous nonsense that happened over in California just recently. The pastor conducted a ‘mass’ whose central theme was the life and thoughts of Beyonce. Yes, Beyonce. The very same person who has bragged about being possessed by a demon named ‘Sasha Fierce‘, and who with her husband is a proud member of the satanic cult known as OTO. Notable other highlights of the ‘mass’ included calling Mary Magdalene a ‘nasty woman’ who, if she were alive today, would be wearing a pink ‘vagina hat‘ and campaign as a supporter of Hillary Clinton! Nearly 1,000 people packed out the service, and sat in rapt attention as this theological garbage was dished out to them. Want to know what it looks like when you mix satanism and Laodicean ‘christianity’? This is it.
