During the recent Israel-Hamas war, reporters have fallaciously described the consequences on human lives of Israel's shelling of the Hamas strongholds and Gaza's city of tunnel as “atrocities committed on the innocent”. Innocent? This is far-fetched, for the truth is that no one is innocent. Then again, coming from the lips of atheists, unbelievers and sceptics who deny the reality of sin, it's not inconceivable.
On the contrary, in the Bible, the God and Author of all life says that we are all sinners, that no one is innocent, that all are guilty of wrongdoing and, therefore, deserve death.
At the risk of sounding hardhearted, we maintain that none of the civilians killed in the Israel-Hamas crossfire were innocent. Not counting the very young who had not reached the age of accountability, not one of the civilians could say they had lived up to all of God's commandments and laws. Truth be told, they couldn't live up to their own ideals let alone God's. None of us can. Not even the Palestinian children could be called innocents for they had been taught to lie for Hamas. This should come as no surprise since Islam teaches that lying is permissible in a war against Israel, the Islamists' greatest enemy.
Let us state from the outset that we do not jubilate in the suffering of women and children; we do not suffer lightly the killing of anyone, let alone non-combatants. Neither do we delight in taking out our comforts by the light of others' pain. However, let's keep things in perspective. To call anyone innocent is to call God a liar. Those civilians killed in the Israel-Hamas battle were hardly innocent – not as innocent as the media would have us believe.
For how innocent could they be to have cursed God, hated their Jewish brothers, and voted Hamas as their ruling government thereby putting their stamp of approval on the annihilation of Israel? They knew what Hamas represented, yet they had stood by and allowed the terrorists to fire their Iranian-sponsored rockets into Israel from their midst. And how innocent could they be to have raised their sons and daughters to despise all Jews and desire their death and that of infidels? These were the very fathers and mothers who had sent their sons and daughters to schools to be trained as sleepers in terrorist cells and to recite anti-Jewish mantra daily as part of their hate indoctrination.
But even more important, how innocent could they be to have worshiped Allah, the false moon god, who commands all his followers to wage jihad on Israel, Jews and Christians? No, indeed they were not innocent by any stretch of the imagination and it would behoove all anti-semites to turn from their self-righteous error to the only true and Living God and Jesus Christ.
For the day will come when all, even those who have died in the conflict, will face Jesus Christ for judgment. And all who have died without Christ will suffer a second death. All who have died who mistreated Israel will be judged. God will vindicate Israel on that day, as well as all the nations and individuals who have supported her. Everyone reading this who hates Israel is implored to repent, for the day will come when even you will be asked to give an account of how you regarded Israel (see Sheep and Goat Judgment - a Bible Study).
Israel is not finished as far as events on the world's political stage. The future is approaching earth very quickly and Israel remains at the centre of its events, for God has said of her:
The world is preparing to lay siege on Israel because the world hates Israel.
This collective hatred of Israel by the world is rooted in Satan's hatred of Israel. At the dawn of history, God prophesied of Satan's end:
Since being handed this prophetic judgment from God, Satan, the devil of old, had known that the seed of a woman would one day arise to intervene in his affairs with man and defeat him.
This seed was the Lord Jesus Christ whose first coming saw His death on the cross as the fulfillment of the prophetic conquest and defeat of the devil. In 1 Corinthians 2:8, Paul said of Satan and his minions who are the princes of the world's systems,
The writer of Hebrews wrote:
Prophecy of defeat notwithstanding, Satan was not waiting idly for his end to come. He would turn his sights on the Israelites' destruction in a desperate attempt to be Almighty's foil. If he was going down, he was determined to bring the Israelites down along with him.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) and “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Sin is simply not living up to God's standards.
At the risk of sounding hardhearted, we maintain that none of the civilians killed in the Israel-Hamas crossfire were innocent. Israel is not finished as far as events on the world's political stage. The future is approaching earth very quickly and Israel remains at the centre of its events, for God has said of her:
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah (former name of Israel's West Bank) and against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:2).
The world is preparing to lay siege on Israel because the world hates Israel.
This collective hatred of Israel by the world is rooted in Satan's hatred of Israel. At the dawn of history, God prophesied of Satan's end:
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Gen. 3:15).
In 1 Corinthians 2:8, Paul said of Satan and his minions who are the princes of the world's systems,
“For had the princes of this world known of God's wisdom, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”.
The writer of Hebrews wrote:
“(That) through Jesus' death, He might destroy him who has the power of death, that is the devil” (Hebrews 2:14).
Prophecy of defeat notwithstanding, Satan was not waiting idly for his end to come. He would turn his sights on the Israelites' destruction in a desperate attempt to be Almighty's foil. If he was going down, he was determined to bring the Israelites down along with him.
